I’d planned my outfits for Paris to the finest detail, travelling with a carry on meant it had to be a capsule wardrobe and with the ever changing weather I needed more than just some summer clothes and sandals – I had to pack for all weathers which I’ve not done before as it’s always been super sunny on my city breaks last year. The forecast changed from day to day too before we went, so it really made super difficult!

For our first evening exploring I had my outfit planned to a tee; my new ASOS Ridley Jeans in White (£25)  – I’d got some cropped ones from Evans ready but they didn’t make the cut as it was predicting to be too rainy. I’d also got a spare black pair of Ridleys that I’d travelled in in case it was too rainy for a white trouser too . I’d weather proofed the rest of the outfit too, but thanks to it being dry it meant I got it wear my new fave Gingham combo, and as it was a bit cooler I also brought my new Simply Be* Coat along too.
I felt so chic in this whole ensemble, the Black and White Gingham Peplum Top (£28)*from Evans top is a size 20, and fits well around my bust then skims out into the peplum hem. I can’t believe after moaning about not finding a decent plus size gingham top that this one came along literally days after!

It’s not too high cut as this shape of top can sometimes be which is so like especially in warmer days. I need to point out I wore it out the evening I got home too as it’s so easy to wear but looks really good on.

My New Look Black Gingham Floral Embroidered Mules (£25.99) were also comfy, I got a size 8 and they were snug on the top of my foot but enough that they don’t slob around too much. Worth trying out if you are wide footed for sure. Walking around for food and then down the banks of the Seine they only rubbed slightly on the top of my big toe and top of one of my feet. I can’t fault them though as we walked for at least an hour so one blister and a rub really isn’t that bad! Again I’ve worn these to a christening with my other gingham top and had quite a few compliments, they are a fab height too and have converted me from a mule hater to a lover for sure!

The Longline Bonded Suedette Jacket from Simply Be (£60)*  was the piece de resistance. I have worn it non-stop- well except for these past few blistering heat days. It’s a beautiful suede-esq stretchy scuba material which means it keeps me dry in drizzle and it’s stretchy so comfy to wear! Every time I’ve worn it I’ve had compliments as the mid pastel pink colour looks so great. It’s the perfect transitional coat and couldn’t have been more perfect for Spring in Paris.

Let me know if you love this outfit and how you weather proof your outfits for the changeable weather!?
