I’ve loved my little Christmas break and I hope you all have too! I love reading what I got for Xmas posts so I am considering doing a quick post on that too so let me know if you’re interested. I’ve also enjoyed spending time switched off, switched on and socialising and chatting in Twitter which I haven’t done in ages and also spending time with all my family and friends. It’s been bliss!

So tonight’s festivities will be a semi casual affair, with my friends coming around our house and playing cards against humanity and some other card games no doubt. I’ll probably still wear a pretty dress though it will just need to be a comfy one!

Also I must say I really hate New Years Eve, it’s a night where you feel you have to socialise, have to stay up until at least midnight and if you go out everything is massively overpriced and busy. I can recount lots of poor nights out of the past, being dumped (like who does that after their midnight kiss?!A-Hole), good friends splitting up (yup, another A-Hole), massive arguments between friends, and some ones at me! Being verrrry ill (food related) and more. See it’s just not worth it! Plus no one ever wants to do anything for my birthday a few days later as they are all skint/tired/not talking to each other to do so. Double bummer! Tell me you feel some of my pain too?!

Anyway, tonight should be un eventful (she says holding her breath) as it couldn’t be more chill and we aren’t venturing away from the house so bonus. As always I’ve got a few outfit options all of them were bargains of course! Ever prepared I shot them whilst I was staying at the gorgeous Grange Cottage (how I wish I was back there in front of the log burner..) digressions aside, first up is this gorgeous deep red/ burgundy pleat bust lace detail dress from  Lovedrobe (was £49 now £41)  I love these kind of dresses with the gorgeous lace detail at the bottom, however due to my big falling out with Chi Chi (they were breaking the law with regard to their service policies and wouldn’t admit to it and we’re very rude in the process!) who has had this as a signature style for a while, I’ve never owned one so was glad to see Lovedrobe making this gorgeous dress in my favourite colour! It’s a strapless number but does come with those tiny straps to add if you want to and the bust is padded to keep the shape of the dress and actually makes by bust look rather larger! If you were brave it could be a bra less dress but I stuck to my strapless bra tho!

The back is elasticated so it is a good fit around the boobs and back and would easily accommodate more sizeable mountains than mine! This is a size 20 and I think I could’ve had the size 18 as the only downside was that the top slightly drooped after wearing it for a bit. It was the only downside for me though, the length was fabulous and it was a contender for my work Xmas party before the sequin dress of dreams was ordered!

The next contender was another Lovedrobe dress the Lace Belted Skater Dress(was £49 now £9.50!) yes £9.50! It also comes in a red backed version too for the same price! The fit on this dress is just right. The cute key hole at the bust shows off some serious cleave and gives good shape, whilst the belt draws it in at the waist. However the belt is slightly too small this is it on the loosest hole so will be adding my own belt for sure, and for my 5’11 height it’s a little short, not hugely bum showing but there is no bending down in it, and if I sat down I probably wouldn’t be sitting on the dress lol! So for this New Years I would add some leggings. For £9.50 I really don’t mind having to do that!

Last option is separates. I bought the George Sequin Cami (£16) as its rose gold and I thought it would go well with these skin tight black stretch trousers from River Island as a sparkly alternative to a dress. I liked it but now I look at the photos I think the size 20 is slightly too skimming , a bit too loose, it’s not quite low enough to show off my cleave and the lighter shade doesn’t look quite as good as I thought it did. So a bit of a dud actually. I think I should have stuck with the burgundy one in an 18 that I had in my basket and things would have been different! It’s such good quality for the price and really heavy with all the sequins.

Looking at this photo (excuse the poor quality)  I much prefer this beaded cami from River Island as it just fits me better and it a better shape for me so this is he cami of choice now I think.

Out of my 3 options which would you choose and what are you up to later?

Keep an eye out on my Insta to see what I choose!
