Back in the day when spending money was £2 a week and Saturdays were spent swatching Rimmels Heather Shimmer,Coffee Shimmer and Birthday Suit trying to decide what one to buy, I discovered a product that I clung onto for many years after:
Papier Poudre
I think I first read about it in Just Seventeen magazine I think where it told me about a magical paper that got rid of shine throughout the day and I knew I had to have it.
Back in the day Body Shop sold it so my friend and I took a trip and purchased a book each. I replenished it for a few years after that and then started to try other blotting papers.
Fast forward to now and here it is! Can you believe I still had one!? I’d found it a month or so before and it had made me wonder how I could get a new pack to start using again…..
Fast forward again to the #SheffieldBBloggers event where I received this in my goody bag! I literally couldn’t have been happier. It contains all three shades of Papier Poudre
Rachel- the original shade
White- the lighter shade (more translucent)
Rose- the pinker shade
The all do the same great job of mopping up shine, just like they did in the late 90’s!
I’ve been using a sheet on nights out to dab away the glow I get after being in a bar too long and it’s saved me having to take a powder and brush out with me which leaves more room for other make up, win- win all round. Thanks Papier Poudre!
