I take weddings seriously. You will never fear if you invite me to your wedding of having me rock up looking a mess. It’s just not done- I mean you have to live with those group photos for the rest of your life right!? So when Kellie (aka Big Fashionista) asked me along to her wedding I was so chuffed and knew I couldn’t let her down!
When it came to matching I knew it needed to be on point- I mean, Kellie’s hair matched the colour scheme it’s just goals right there isn’t it! Also she looked bloody stunning- check out her blog for some gorgeous photos from the day.
I ended up with this bargain dress from ASOS in the sale. I love the print- I have this thing for hydrangeas- and the colours were beaut together. I love the slits up each leg too, my only concern with it was the cut out in the centre. It just shows a little too much especially for a wedding, so the hunt for a cover up was on.
After much deliberation I settled on a flatter nude strapless bra and a lace bandeau (ASOS Mya £20) in this mink colour to blend in and preserve a bit of modesty! I also added an ASOS khaki jersey mini skirt as the slits were pretty high once I’d added shoes.
Talking of shoes I finally got to wear my MissGuided Khaki Lace Up Heels which are reasonably comfy considering they are a stiletto, but they weren’t the most comfy for standing around in for long periods of time. Or for the grass. Grass does not like stilettos.
Of course it was a fabulous, beautiful day and night and I was glad to be able to share it with fabulous people!
