Never did I see a highlighter more prettier than this. I’ve become a little*(*lot) obsessed with Too Faced over the last year and this fuelled my obsession. Too Faced Candlelight Glow  is a ‘duo highlighter’ which basically means it has two highlight shades contained in the compact.

There’s two shade variants and mine is warm glow (the other is rosy glow and is a more pink tone). My Warm Glow compact is half a light peach shade and half a champagne shade of highlight. The shades can be swirled together for a lovely mixed glow or used separately. Payoff wise both shades are pretty good, a hard swipe provides enough highlight for a cheekbone or two, and the colour is perfect for a paler skin tone as its not too harsh. You can see on the quick swatches below, what I mean, it’s a nice light highlight.

I use them separately most of the time , and the main reason is because I don’t want to ruin the chandelier design on the pan! Yes really. I’ve developed a good technique to use the outside edges around the chandelier so I can keep the pattern longer on it. Sad. I know.

Testire wise it’s a lovely soft formula and there’s no big glitter particles in this so its a nice one for the less glittery fiends amongst us. I always find glittery highlights to look a bit childlike- mainly because it reminds me of my younger self circa the year 2000, anyone over 30 may just sympathise with me on that one.

Overall for everyday I think this is perfect, for nights out I would want something stronger but if you like a really nice, natural look I’d recommend this. It’s not cheap at £25 though and I don’t know if it’s prettiness can top some of the other highlighters in that price bracket. For example I think the Illamasqua beyond powders would be worth the extra £7 for me over this one but they aren’t quite a natural looking as this can be. I have found I’ve ditched Mary Loumanizer by The Balm more recently to use this one alongside Illamsqua in OMG as part of my daily routine.

I’m slowly discovering more Too Faced products though, it doesn’t stop here! Let me know if you’d be interested in hearing about more in the comments below.
