So the #WeAreTheThey campaign created by Debs in response to body shaming across the sizes really took off last Wednesday night and brought back positivity across lots of communities.

So today’s post is a combined effort to keep the #WeAreTheThey hashtag going across over 40 bloggers and through Twitter tonight at 8pm.
We’re taking about breaking the fashion rules, wearing things that we’ve been told not to wear or not been encouraged to wear.. I feel I could write a list the length of my legs  (!) so I’ve narrowed it down to a top 5!
First up
Crop Tops.
If you have a stomach that has an ounce of fat on it then you shouldn’t wear a crop top seems to be the consensus on these garments.
How about no. Here I am flaunting my squishy middle parts in an illuminous river island crop top and Primark bralet.

Secondly,
Shorts
A similar scenario, no wearing of short shorts allowed- well ive never listened to this and have just bought 2 extra short pairs ready for my holidays (not quite butt cheek baring as I’m a big hater of those on anyone!- but pretty short!)

Third
Horizontal Stripes
I agree that horizontal stripes on trousers or leggings are all just a bit beetlejuice and feel no one should sport them. However on a top or dress it’s absolutely fine! I don’t think this dress makes me look wider than I am, and if it does? Who cares!(I do care I look a bit mardy here but o was having fun honest!)

Fourth
Bikini
The bikini has been the biggest ‘fashion rule’ needing a specific body type to sport one. Year after year we are forced to listen to how to ‘get one’ well whatever ‘one’ is I must have it as here I am wearing one.
I do see more ladies sporting the high waisted briefs and longer line top as their preference however I say wear the brief bikini if that’s what you want to do. I’ll show off my muffin top stretch marks with a hipster style brief as that’s just the style I like!

Last up
Body con
On conscious of my body so why not wear a body conscious garment? Oh it doesn’t work like that you say?! Well if a want to wear something a bit tight then I will! I must admit my confidence doesn’t stretch to having a full skin tight garm but this dress was a big step out of my comfort zone for sure.
