Planning My Moroccan Makeup Bag

It’s less than three weeks until I’ll be sunning myself in Morocco and I am so excited! I’m such a planner so now I’ve sorted nearly all my outfits out (read bought new outfits) and so I’ve moved onto beauty. I like to make an effort with eyes and lips whilst on sun holidays leaving the base very much alone but piling on the highlight and bronzer. I’ve treated myself to a new makeup bag set from my faves River Island, I’m loving all the raffia/straw things around at the moment and River Island have really embraced the trend. When I saw this Metallic Clear Woven Makeup Bag Set(£20) it had to be mine, I like to use a mini pouch in my handbag to keep my lipstick, lipliner and mirror in to save ruining my bag linings so the smaller of the three is already getting well used. The medium one I plan to use in my beach bag for a similar thing with money etc in it and the large clear bag will house all my toiletries. My other Beige Woven Zip Top Makeup Bag(£16) WILL manage to contain all my makeup and might even double as a clutch bag as I saw it styled that way in River Island Meadowhall.

I get checked in baggage with this trip which is such a luxury for me nowadays so I’ve really got to restrain myself as I so want to go crazy and take allllll the liquids!!! So far I’ve got these liquid eyeshadows from Phase Zero Makeup in my Bag. I’m loving the Coconut Eyeshadows which one shaken throughly apply smoothly and dry pretty darn sharpish. Once on they don’t budge. I naughtily slept with my eyemakeup on and hadn’t used primer and it was all still in tact! I was very impressed. The Metal Veil Eyeshadows are also very good and again just don’t budge. I used both together with some of my Phase Zero powder shadows to create a fab golden bronzed eye look which will be perfect for holiday!

I’ve spoken about Phase Zero and roughly how it works before and now I have a reader offer for you! You’ll get 90 days free membership and £5 to spend in the store! Just use code LUCYE5 when you sign up- meaning you’ll get members prices so each one of the liquid eyeshadows will cost just £4 each (plus £3.99 postage for the total package!)

Swatches L-R (in order of photo above too)

For my highlighter and bronzer I’m going for my faves Primark. I blooming love their highlighters and although some of their recent products have not necessarily been born from their own inventive minds, they still haven’t directly copied any high end products like some other cheaper makeup brands where shade for shade they go against each other so I’m still here for it.

I haven’t stopped used the above Chocolate Palette since I picked it up as the bronzer/blushers are fabulous and perfect for my skin tone, the highlight isn’t amazing through so I use the PS Glow Palette to really add the shimmer! The Nudes mini brush really helps to blend out foundation so if I do put any on I know I can blend out so it’s not too thick. The eyebrow highlighter from that set will also be coming with. Prices of these range from £4 to £8.

Now all I need is a waterproof mascara , I’m currently using Ciate so any recommendations leave them below please!
